- Three-banded armadillos have strong shells to protect them, not wings like birds.
- Three-banded armadillos can dig because they have sharp claws. They cannot swing from trees like monkeys.
- Three-banded armadillos are afraid of maned wolves, not tree frogs, especially red-eyed ones.
- Three-banded armadillos hide from scary animals (such as the maned wolves mentioned above) by rolling into balls, not rolling pins.

- This is mainly because "bike" is a simpler name than "bicycle."
- This previously occurred in Three Little Condors.

- This episode premiered the same day as the Jack's Big Music Show episode The Music Genie.
- The Al Rescate/Una Adventura song is replaced by the new song, "Win the Race" and it was sung twice.
- During the animal end song, Diego doesn't say "Excelente," he instead says "Yay!".
- Click, Baby Jaguar, and the Bobo Brothers don't appear in this episode.
- However, Armadillo takes Baby Jaguar's place as Diego's assistant.
- This is the first episode where the fourth wall was broken. Alicia handed the viewer a blue ribbon just like in many episodes in Dora the Explorer where a character hands something to the viewer.
- This episode was the first episode to appear on a Nickelodeon compilation DVD, being All Star Sports Day!. It can also be found in the DVD Ready, Set, Go!.
- This could be Diego's version of We're a Team!, although while it first released in the namesake VHS and DVD in August 2006, it did not premiere until two years later in August 2008 (both involves teams and racing).
