Trivia[]

  • At the very end of the "It's Three Kings Day" song, when Dora says "Come on!", her voice sounds similar to her previous voice actress.
  • Dora, Boots, and Diego are dressed as kings in this episode.
    • Map is also seen wearing a crown during his segment.
  • This is the 1st episode to premiere in 2009.
  • This is the 108th episode of the show.
  • Daisy, Guillermo, Isabella, the Bobo Brothers, Click, Backpack, and Rescue Pack don't appear in this episode nor were they at the party.
  • This is the last episode where Jake T. Austin voices Diego outside of Go, Diego, Go!. Diego will be voiced by Brandon Zambrano beginning with the next season.
    • However, it may be possible that Jake T. Austin also voiced Diego in Dora's Big Birthday Adventure, but it is unknown as he is not listed in the end credits.
  • This episode is based on The Three Kings.
    • Differences is the animals: The Three Kings rides on camels which Boots rides on a correct animal. But in the show, Dora rides on horse, and Diego rides on an Elephant.
      • This cites the episode's focus on him.
  • The Gotta Travel Song (which replaces the regular one) makes its second appearance in the main show, after the double-length episode Dora Saves the Snow Princess. However, if one goes by production order, the appearances are switched.
  • In some scenes throughout the episode, including during the Gotta Travel Song, Boots has his Dora and Friends look.
  • Swiper is the only one not king or anything, he's playing the role of Satan the Devil; the most dangerous enemy of the Biblical Magi and the Christians.
  • This episode is somewhat similar to Baby Jaguar's Roar.
    • Both have to do with Swiper scaring someone and it takes Dora, Boots, and Diego a whole adventure just to find them (in this case it was the animals they get to ride, while in the aforementioned episode, it was Baby Bear).
  • Map's dancing is recycled from Dora's World Adventure, but only half of it was used.
  • Dora doesn't use Backpack in this episode and she doesn't say "We did it!" with Map.
  • After Dora, Boots, and Diego sing We Did It! and talk about their favorite parts to the viewer, they're back in their normal outfits (while Boots isn't wearing anything).
  • This is the first episode featuring Diego's Animal Rescue Center from Go, Diego, Go!, which looks much different than it was in previous two seasons.
    • Because of this as well as the fact that Diego joins Dora and Boots for the entire trip, this episode could be considered the first proper crossover between Dora the Explorer and Go, Diego, Go! within the first aforementioned show.
      • However, despite this, Click, the Bobo Brothers, and Rescue Pack do not appear in this episode nor were they at the party.
  • After Dora asks the viewer for their favorite part of the trip and the viewer responds, she doesn't say, "I like that, too!". Boots instead says, "I love that part!".
  • This episode actually premiered on Three Kings Day (January 6) of 2009.
  • This episode premiered on Nickelodeon instead of the Nick Jr. block.
    • This is the last primetime premiering episode to air on the original Nick Jr. block brand before it changed to the Nick Play Date on February 2 of the same year (2009).
  • This episode premiered on DVD in October 2008, almost three months before it premiered on TV.
