The episode starts with the sun sleeping after finding the Lost Cuddly Dinosaur at Play Park and learning about jobs from the firehouse to the pyramid in the airing order episode.
(But where are our friends when you greet them?)
There's Dora and Boots in their pajamas!
"¡Buenos días!" greeted Dora.
"Good morning!" said Boots.
"I slept over at Dora's house!" (This scene may be proof that this chronologically took place after "
Boots' Cuddly Dinosaur" as a sequel; however, this was produced BEFORE such.) Me too! I learned all about jobs AFTER you found the stuffed dinosaur, Boots!
Dora and Boots got up REALLY early, before the sun!
Do you see the sleeping sun?
Behind that hill in the distance!
there's the sleeping sun!
"And she's snoring!" said Boots.
Red Rooster climbs the Highest Hill
"THERE'S the Highest Hill!"
"Let’s look for Red Rooster!"
"Do you see Red Rooster?"
There he is! But...why is he in Dora's backyard?
"(GASPS!) Red Rooster!?!"
"What are you doing in here?!"
"(hoarsely) My throat is sore. I can't cock-a-doodle-doo!" said Red Rooster in a complete raspy voice.
"Oh, Red Rooster! ¡Lo siento mucho!" said Dora as she hugs him.
"I don't know what to do! It's time for me to wake up the sun!"
(hoarsely) Cock-a-doodle-doo...
His "Cock-a-doodle-doo" won't wake up ANYBODY!
She then states the problem to her.
"If the sun keeps sleeping, it'll be dark all day!" said Mami. That wouldn't be really good.
"I gotta wake up the sun!!!"
Mami hugs Red Rooster and thought that honey could make his throat feel better.
(Maybe honey would be the perfect medicine.)
"Honey! Great idea, Mami!"
Will you check Backpack for honey?
You have to say, "Backpack!".
This honey will soothe his throat in no time.
"Sing your Feel Better song, Mami!"
Sana, sana, colita de rana
And sure enough… "My throat feels better!!" said Red Rooster.
(loudly) "COCK-A-DOODLE-DOO!"
Now Red Rooster can wake up the sun!
"But, I'm late, I'm late, I'm late!"
Mami suggests Dora and Boots to come with Red Rooster and help him get to the Highest Hill.
"What's the quickest way to the Highest Hill, Dora?" Boots asked.
"Who do we ask for help when we don't know which way to go?"
Will you check the Map to find out how to get to the Highest Hill?
There he is! In his nightcap! Say it LOUDLY and PROUDLY so he can come out!
SPRIIIIIIIIING...! What does he say? One way to find out!
Map is here, in his PJs! So is the Fiesta Trio!
"Good morning! ¡Buenos días!" Map said.
Oh, no! The sun is still sleeping! We have to wake up the sun!
Luckily, Map knows the quickest way to the Highest Hill to wake up the sun! Listen carefully...
Then, go over the Troll Bridge.
And that's how you get to the Highest Hill to help Red Rooster wake up the sun!
Ooh, stars! Try and catch stars along the way!
So remember, River, Bridge, Highest Hill!
River, Bridge, Highest Hill. Where do we go first?
River, right! The Noisy River!
So first we have to find the Noisy River.
Do you see the Noisy River?
(Time for a travel song with Red Rooster!)
Come on, say it with us!
River, Bridge, Highest Hill!
River, Bridge, Highest Hill!
River, Bridge, Highest Hill!
River, Bridge, HIGHEST HILL!!!
[Red Rooster sings Dora's usual line.] I know that we can
WHAT are we gonna do?! (The Fiesta Trio is back of riding piggyback!)
We made it to the Noisy River!
It's getting louder than ever!
How are we gonna get across the River?
Do you see something we can use to cross the Noisy River?
Yeah! There's a boat! That's El Bote.
Red Rooster remembered that they woke up the frogs, so he's confident that they can wake up the boat!
Help us wake up El Bote! Say "COCK-A-DOODLE-DOO!"
So we can be--
(But unfortunately, they hear a rustling; meaning that someone is waking up early and goes
out of home.)
Uh-oh! That sounds like Swiper the Fox!
That sneaky fox is ALWAYS trying to swipe our stuff! He'll try to swipe our lifejackets!
(HOOP! WOOP! HOOP!)
Do you see Swiper? Where?!
(WOOP!)
Yeah, there he is!
(rustling with eyebrows)
And he’s in his pajamas!
We’re gonna have to say, "Swiper, no swiping!" extra loud!
(Say it with them! Forte!!)
(Loudly) SWIPER, NO SWIPING!!!
Thanks for helping us stop Swiper.
Life jackets! So we can be safe!
Will you help El Bote steer clear of the snakes?
El Bote speaks Spanish; to tell him there's a snake coming, you have to say "Culebra" (or "Serpiente"). Can you say "Culebra"?
Boots realized that the river is so noisy that El Bote can't hear them.
Dou you see the snake? Where? Right behind us?! Oh no! We got to say culebra. Say it with us, REAL LOUD. "¡CULEBRA!"
Yay! We got away from all the Noisy Snakes!
The Fiesta Trio on a log raft.
We went down Noisy River. Where do we go next?
Bridge, right! The Troll Bridge!
Donde esta? Where is the Troll Bridge? (Is it on the first or second path?)
"Catch us, catch us, catch us!"
(HONK!) What star is that?
"Look, it's Noisy Star! He's an Explorer Star."
(Noisy's next appearance as male after
Stuck Truck.)
"He can help us wake up the sun!" You mean a GIRL?!!? SHE can help up the sun!
"If we can catch him!" Boots said. It's a her! Never mind!
"We need to catch the stars!"
"Reach up to catch the stars!"
They caught them! Even Noisy!
(all laughing) YAY! We caught them!
"Let's put them in the star pocket."
"The star pocket, the star pocket!"
They're all in! (This clip was used in the Seasons 3-4 opening sequence.)
We made it to the Troll Bridge!
Do you see the Grumpy Old Troll?
Well, well, well.
(song starts)
"NO ONE goes over MY bridge
unless...!" the Troll gives a warning.
"...you solve my riddle!"
Red Rooster tells him they have to go over the bridge to wake up the sun.
"Don't worry, Red Rooster!
We can solve his riddle!"
Dora asks: "Will you help us solve the Grumpy Old Troll's riddle?"
Mr. Troll thinks of a hard riddle. Listen carefully to what he has to say.
OK! "Here's my riddle!" he said.
The Grumpy Old Troll's riddle goes, "Solving riddles make me proud. How many things are VERY loud?". Can you find all the loud items?
Can a drum make a loud noise?
Can a fire truck make a loud noise?
Can a feather make a loud noise?
Can a radio make a loud noise?
So, we found one, two, three loud things!
Now it's time to confirm the answer to Mr. Troll.
HOW many loud things did you find?" he asked.
(Tell the Troll how many out of the four things are really loud!)
Speak up! "I can't HEAR you!"
(What do YOU say, kids?!)
"Three, that's right!" said Mr. Troll.
"You're REALLY good at solving riddles!"
"You can go over my bridge!"
"Good luck waking up the sun!"
The Fiesta Trio with noisemakers.
"Where do we go next, Dora?"
We went down Noisy River, and went over the Troll Bridge, where do we go next?
Hill, right! The Highest Hill! To wake up the sun!
There are three hills! Which one is the highest?
I'M LATE!!!" cried Red Rooster. Well, let's go wake up the sun!
Oh, no! Those sleeping pigs are blocking our way!
"I know what to do!" said Red Rooster. (What is it? Crow?!)
"We have to cock-a-doodle-doo!"
Say, "COCK-A-DOODLE-DOO!"
They flap their arms and yell, "COCK-A-DOODLE-DOO!!!"
"LOUDER!" yelled Red Rooster. Come on!
"Good morning!" said Boots.
"¡Buenos días!" adds Dora and Red Rooster.
"¡Buenos días!" the pigs said.
The pigs are wondering where the sun is.
Boots says that they're currently going to wake up the sun.
luck!" All the pigs are cheering on Red Rooster.
We made it to the bottom of the Highest Hill! But we have to get to the top!
Red Rooster decides that they should practice "cock-a-doodle-doo!" "Say it with me!" he said.
Cock-a-doodle-doo. Cock-a-doodle-doo. Cock-a-doodle-doo. Cock-a-doodle-doo. Cock-a-doodle-doo!
Yay! We made it to the top of the Highest Hill!
Red Rooster, what's this big machine?
This machine is called a loud-o-meter. It measures how loud we get.
To wake up the sun, the arrow has to get all the way to 10!
We're gonna have to make lots and lots of noise! Are you ready to make some noise?
Clap your hands! Clap, clap, clap!
Look! The arrow is moving!
Now stomp your feet, really loud!
STOMP HARDER! It's going up!
(HONK! HONK!)
And Noisy Star's helping, too!
Now say, "COCK-A-DOODLE-DOO!" (while Noisy Star honks fortississimo!)
(HONK!!) COCK-A-DOODLE-DOO!
LOUDER! (HONK!!!) COCK-A-DOODLE-DOO!!!
EVEN LOUDER!!!!! (One more time! Say it very, very, loudly! Fortiss-issimo!!)
(HONK!!!!!) COCK-A-DOODLE-DOO!!!!!!!!
YAY! Look! We made the arrow go up!
Great cock-a-doodle-doing!
(And thanks for the assistance, Noisy soldier star!)
The sun's awake! The sun's awake!!
"¡Buenos días!" said the sun.
"You woke me up just in time!" said the Sun.
Good morning, Big Red Chicken!
The Fiesta Trio on the loud-o-meter.
We helped the Red Rooster's throat feel better with some honey!
We solved the Grumpy Troll's riddle,
To wake up the sun, we yelled,
We couldn't have done it if it weren't for
(Now that the sun is rising, they are now wearing their casual clothes from heading home!)
"We had such an exciting trip today!"
"What was YOUR favorite part of the trip?"
Now tell them the best part of this LOUD early morning adventure!
As always... "I liked that, too!" Let's hear THEIR favorite loud parts!
Boots' favorite part was waking up the pigs.
Dora's favorite part was helping Red Rooster yell...
"Let's see how many stars we caught!"
To call the stars, say "¡Estrellas!"
"¡Cuatro estrellas! Four stars!"
"I LOVE that Noisy Star!"
"We couldn't have done it without you!"
"Thanks for helping! Gracias!"
