[This episode starts with Dora holding a soccer ball.]
¡Hola, Dora! You playing soccer?
"I'm Boots! Boots the soccer player!"
"I'm Benny! Benny the soccer player!"
She explains that she and her friends are playing soccer with the soccer ball.
She asks the viewer a question. "Have YOU ever played with a soccer ball?"
(There's the ball!) Go ahead and tell her!
"You're REALLY great at soccer, Dora!" said Boots as he hugs her.
"Today we're going to play soccer with the
Dinosaur Team!" she explains.
Isa asks her if the Dinosaur Team is very
"Well, yeah, Isa! They're pretty BIG!"
(Loud stomping from the distance)
The dinosaurs really ARE big!
"We're the Dinosaur Team!"
"What's the name of YOUR team?" asked the purple one.
WHAT'S the name of OUR team?!"
"Yeah, we need a name! We need a name!!"
(Then, an idea flew into Boots' head…)
"That's a good name, Boots!"
"We're the Golden Explorers!" she said to the dinosaurs.
The dinosaurs liked the idea. "Oooh!"
And just wait till you see our team
The team shirts are in Backpack.
"I need YOUR help! Will you open my Backpack and find the shirts for our team?" she asked. You have to say, "Backpack!"
Say, "Backpack!" Say, "Backpack!" ("¡Di, 'Backpack!'" said Tico.)
"Hola!" says Backpack. Dora needs shirts for her soccer team, the Golden Explorers. Let's find five yellow shirts. Where's the yellow shirt with the number 1?
Where's the yellow shirt with the number 2?
Let's make sure we have all 5 shirts! "Count them with me!" said Backpack.
(She sorts the red and yellow shirts in two rows.) Ready?
Five yellow shirts for Dora's soccer team!
(What will be THEIR cheer?)
GOOOOOLDEN EXPLORERRRRRS!"
"Will you do the team cheer with them?"
"Put your hand out in front of you."
GOOOOOLDEN EXPLORERRRRRS!"
"Good! Let's do it louder!"
"Put your hand out in front of you!"
GOOOOOLDEN EXPLORERRRRRS!"
"Okay, here's how we play:
You have to kick the ball into the net
to score a goal!" instructed the turquoise dinosaur.
We have to kick the ball into the net to score a goal.
Benny doesn't see it! (It must be far away!)
Let's stop and think. Who do we ask for help when we don't know which way to go?
Right! Will you check the Map to find out where the net is? You have to say, "Map".
Great! (SPRING!) Up he goes! Let's see what he has to say…
Map's here! The Golden Explorers need to kick the ball into the net, and score a goal! Luckily, he knows where the net is! Listen carefully...
First, you go around the Big Tree.
Then, jump over the Dinosaur's Tail.
And that's where you find the net!
How do we get to the net?
Tree, Tail, Net! First, we go around the Big Tree. Then, we jump over the Dinosaur's Tail. And then, we can kick the ball into the net to and score a goal!
So first, we have to go around the Big Tree.
"Well, ready to play soccer?"
Are YOU ready to play soccer?
Fiesta Trio blow the whistles (like referees).
OFF THEY GO! (Note that this scene is used again before the second travel song.)
The ball goes flying! (Note this scene is also used after the third picture sequence.)
There it goes! (Note this scene is also reused twice.)
Come on, Golden Explorers!
Let's kick the ball into the net
Tree, Tail, Net!
Tree, Tail, Net!
Tree, Tail, Net!
Tree, Tail, NET!
Come on, let's get to it!
I know that we can do it!
Tico! NET!!! (He said it in English!)
(No spinning this time) Run, run, run…
We got to the Big Tree before the dinosaurs!
That sounds like Swiper.
(He'll try to swipe the soccer ball!)
If you see Swiper the fox, yell "SWIPER!".
"Hey, look, Dora. Now there are TWO balls!"
"There's our soccer ball, and then there's that orange ball!"
Dora knew something was strange. "Benny, I don't think that orange ball
That wasn’t a soccer ball, it's… "SWIPER!" they all shouted.
"You'll NEVER find it NOW!"
"Quick! We have to find the ball!"
Will you help find the soccer ball?
Great! Let's stop and think!
What color was the soccer ball?
Black and white! So let's look for a black-and-white soccer ball!
Whoa! Look at all the bird's nests! The soccer ball must have landed in a bird's nest! Let's look for the soccer ball!
It's round and it’s black and white but,
it's not the soccer ball! It was an egg! Let’s keep looking!
Oops! It's not the soccer ball! It's a bird with sunglasses! Let's keep looking!
You found the soccer ball! Great looking!
We made it past the Big Tree. So, next comes the...?
Tail, right! The Dinosaur's Tail!
Now where IS the Dinosaur's Tail?
Do you see the Dinosaur's Tail?
"Come on, Golden Explorers!"
Let’s kick the ball into the net and score a goal!
the Dinosaur Team will NEVER catch up to us!" he added.
"Dora! We've GOT to get past all these dinosaurs!"
"Right, Boots! The Golden Explorers ALL work together!"
"We just have to keep kicking the ball to each other!"
"Everybody, spread out! SPREAD OUT!" she yelled.
"I need your help to find the players on our team,
so I can kick the ball to them!" she told the viewer.
First, Dora has to kick the ball to player #4. Where's Golden Explorer #4?
Right, there's #4! Benny the Bull!
Benny has to kick the ball to player number #3.
Isa needs to kick the ball to player #1.
Tico has to kick the ball to player #2. Where's player #2?
Right, there's player #2! Boots the Monkey!
Yay! We got the ball past the dinosaurs! Thanks for helping!
"Look, Dora! We made it to the Dinosaur's Tail!" said Isa.
"Rex is the BIGGEST player on the Dinosaur Team! He sits in the middle of the field,
and blocks EVERYTHING with his tail!"
(Well, THAT'S the biggest one all right!)
"We have to get the ball past Rex's tail!"
"We're gonna have to jump over the Dinosaur's Tail!"
"Will you help us jump over the Dinosaur's Tail?"
(kicks the ball over the tail)
"Tico speaks Spanish; so when he needs to jump, we'll say, 'salta'."
"Now it's YOUR turn to jump! You have to stand up to jump over the tail."
"Up, up, up! STAND UP!" yelled Boots.
"Remember, when I say, 'salta,' you have to jump!" she instructed.
Look! There's the Fiesta Trio sliding down Rex's tail! (Note: This is the only time in this episode they play their fanfare.)
"We made it over the Dinosaur's Tail!"
We made it around the Big Tree. We jumped over the Dinosaur's Tail. So, next comes the...?
Net, right!
"¡Miren, alli esta!" said Tico
"Yeah, there it is!" adds Isa.
Come on! Let's kick the ball into the net…
Isa also wanted to know. "Yeah, Why'd you stop?"
Here come the other dinosaurs!
"It's going to be hard to kick the ball past the dinosaurs and into the net."
"WE can do it, Golden Explorers!"
"But we're ALL gonna have to work TOGETHER!"
"Everybody, spread out! Spread out!"
Dora is going to need YOUR help!
Can you find player number #1?
Can you find player number #2?
"Boots! Kick the ball to ME!"
"Now, I have to kick the ball past the dinosaur and into the net!"
Quick, before the dinosaurs get it!
Dora's going to use her "super soccer kick"!
(kicks back the other way)
"GOOOOAAAAALLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!"
SHE KICKED THE BALL INTO THE NET!"
"Oh, Dora! That was awesome!"
"¡Fantastico!" cheered Tico
"Gee! You're really GOOD at soccer!"
They give the dinos a high-five.
"You can play with us ANYTIME!"
The dinosaurs are dancing!
We made it past the Dinos and Dora scored a goal!
Go, go, Golden Explorers!
GO, GO, GOLDEN EXPLORERS!!
and got the ball through!
We had such an exciting game of soccer today!
What was
your favorite part of the day? (Note that this phrase is used again after
Three Little Piggies.)
Dora liked that, too (of course)!
What's Boots' favorite? "My favorite part was when you scored a goal."
"That was SO COOL, Dora."
How about Dora? "My favorite part was jumping over the big dinosaur's tail..."
"And..." (She has a sudden thought.)
"I ALSO liked scoring a goal!" (Yeah, that WAS great!)
We couldn't have done it without you!
