[¡Hola, Dora! The episode starts with her standing on a path.] "Hi, I'm Dora!"
(whispering) "Can you hear me now?"
(shouting) "CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW?!!"
Dora says she is playing loud and soft and demonstrating both loud and quiet.
Boots does it too! "LOUD!" he yelled.
Distant voice: HIC...BOOM....OHHH!!!
Boots, did you hear something funny?
Unfortunately, Boots doesn't know.
Dora does the sound and makes a guess.
Dora thinks it's thunder.
Boots does that sound and makes a guess.
Boots thinks it's a monster.
Dora never heard a sound like that before.
She does it again. Pretty interesting (and weird), right?
They decide to investigate.
Boots thought it was a great idea.
"We gotta find out what that sound is!"
“But we don’t know where to find the sound.”
Looks like they need help. Who should they ask when they don't know which way to go?
That's right! The Map can tell us where the sound is coming from!
She says, "I need your help to check the Map and find out where the sound is coming from."
He can't hear you! "LOUDER!"
There he goes! (SPRIIIIIIIING…!)
[The map for the episode]
Map's here and is ready for work! He says, "Dora and Boots wanna find out where the sound is coming from." Well, Map knows where the sound is coming from! He says the sound is coming from... Yellow Valley.
To get to Yellow Valley, first, you must cross the Noisy River. (babbling)
Then, go through the Quiet Forest. (Shhh.)
And that's how you'll get to Yellow Valley! (HIC...BOOM...OHHH!!!)
So you tell Dora: River, Forest, Yellow Valley!
Where do we go to find the sound?
River, Forest, Yellow Valley! So first we go across the Noisy River, then we go through the Quiet Forest, and that's how we'll get to Yellow Valley to find the sound!
Do you see the River? Where?!
Hic-Boom-Ohhh! Hic-Boom-Ohhh! Hic-Boom-Ohhh! Hic-Boom-Ohhh!
Come on, let's get to it!
I know that we can do it! What's that sound?
It's the Fiesta Trio! "'Hic-Boom-Ohhh!'" they answered.
Wow! Sure is noisy! Listen! (Louder. Louder! Say it loud.)
Wow! That really is a noisy river.
We have to get across it to find out what that sound is!
How will they get across.
Do you see anything they can use to get across the River?
There are three boats: They need a boat without any holes (so they don't get wet), and it must have life jackets (so they can be safe). Which boat is safe to take?
But how will they get the blue boat?
It's so loud in the river that Tico can't hear them.
It worked! "Dora, Boots!" he said.
Tico, ¡el bote! (Tico, a boat!)
¿Cual bote? (Which boat?)
Tico doesn't know which boat to use.
We have to tell Tico to take the blue boat! Tico speaks Spanish; so we have to say "Azul". Can you say "Azul"? Say "Azul".
He still didn't hear them. Say it louder!
Lifejacket, so he can be safe
They cheer for him (Note: If you look closely, Boots' tail is missing.)
Now let's get across this river!
Lifejackets, so they can be safe!
Row! Row! Row! Row! Row! Row!
They made it! And look, the Fiesta Trio is riding a small purple boat.
We did it! We made it across the Noisy River!
And Tico helped, too! Thanks, Tico!
There's that sound again!
Boots really wants to see what it is!
We went across the Noisy River, so next we have to go through…?
The forest, right! The Quiet Forest!
And then we can get to the Yellow Valley and find that sound! (HIC...BOOM...OHHH!!!)
Do you see the Quiet Forest? Where?!
They repeat the sound again.
They were about to sing the "Come on, vamanos!" part until…
It's the Big Red Chicken! He's is sleeping. Not only that, but he's blocking their path to the Quiet Forest!
They try to wake him up… (WAKE UP! WAKE UP! WAKE UP!) …but to no avail.
An idea flies into Dora's head: She has something in Backpack that will definitely wake him up!
Will you check Backpack to find something that make a very loud noise?
She can't hear you! "Louder!"
What can we use to wake up the Big Red Chicken?
The horn! That'll DEFINITELY wake up the Big Red Chicken!
We better watch out for Swiper the Fox!
That sneaky fox is ALWAYS trying to swipe our stuff!
He's try to swipe the horn for sure! (But only if they're not careful.) Could you help them look for him?
If you see the fox, yell "SWIPER!".
And sure enough, he's going away for good (at least for now)!
Thanks for helping us stop Swiper! Now, let's wake up that chicken!
(HONK!) (Big Red Chicken yawns)
It worked! He said hello to the two.
Hello, Big Red Chicken! Sorry to wake you up, but you were blocking the path to the Quiet Forest!
He apologizes. He thought since it was "nice and quiet" here, he was just taking a nap. But nap time is over! So he should be movin' along!
"Yum-yum-yum-yum-yum! ¡Delicioso!"
They can hear nothing but silence in here.
That must mean they're in the… "(whispers) Quiet Forest!"
There's the sound again! Boots thinks that sound is getting louder than ever.
That could mean they're getting closer!
We gotta get through the Quiet Forest,
so we can get to the Yellow Valley and…
(distant snoring) What was that sound?!
It sounds like someone's snoring!
Swiper?! What's he doing here?! I thought he ran far away for sure!
Dora and Boots saw Swiper sleeping on the ground.
Boots thinks that if Swiper wakes up, he would try to swipe their stuff.
But they need to get past him to make it through the Quiet Forest.
Dora has an idea: the tiptoe-walk!
Will you help them do the tiptoe-walk as they sneak past Swiper?!
"Now, you need to stand up to do the tiptoe-walk."
"Stand up, please! Stand up!"
(quietly) "UP, UP! GET UP!"
"Now, tiptoe on your tip toes!"
"Tiptoe on your tip toes,
"You're doing the tiptoe-walk!"
"Come on, follow me!" suggested Dora.
"Shhh…tiptoe! Shhh…tiptoe!"
Huh?! (They're worried they could get caught.)
Oh, never mind! False alarm. Let's keep going. "Shhh…tiptoe!"
"Shhh…tiptoe! Shhh…tiptoe!"
The Fiesta Trio congratulating Dora and Boots for getting through the forest.
"We made it through the Quiet Forest!"
"And we made it around Swiper without waking him up!"
"Thanks for doing the tiptoe-walk."
We went across the Noisy River, and through the Quiet Forest, so next is…?
Do you see Yellow Valley? Where?
We made it to the Yellow Valley!
Dora thinks it's a sleeping giant.
Boots thinks it's a dancing potato.
Look, there's Benny! Let's ask if he knows what's making the sound.
They tell Benny they were the ting to find out who's making that sound.
Benny is confused. "What sound?
I didn't hear any sounds!"
"What does it sound like?"
Help them do the Hic-Boom-Ohhh sound to tell Benny what they mean.
Benny asks to hear it again.
"Let's do it again for Benny."
Unfortunately, Benny never heard of that sound before.
"What's making that sound?!"
"Do YOU know what's making the sound?"
It IS Benny! So THAT'S the culprit behind the mysterious sound.
Benny must have the hiccups.
He explained that he was just trying to get rid of his hiccups, but they just won't go away!
Dora has an idea. Her Mami taught her a way to get rid of hiccups.
All you have to do is count to ten in a really loud voice and the hiccups could go away.
He doesn't know how to count all the way up to ten.
"I'll NEVER get rid of my hiccups!!!"
we can use our fingers to count to ten."
"I need your help. Let's count to ten on our fingers to get rid of Benny's hiccups."
"MY HICCUPS ARE GONE! YAY!!!"
We crossed the Noisy River to the Quiet Forest!
At the Yellow Valley, we found the sound! (Benny: It was my hiccups!)
We got a boat from Tico, along the way! Swiper fell asleep! We got past him, HOORAY! (Look who's here: Tico, the Big Red Chicken, and even the Fiesta Trio!)
We had such a fun trip today!
What was your favorite part of the trip?
Boots' favorite part was when he and Dora did the tiptoe-walk to get past Swiper.
Dora liked when they found the "Hic-boom-ohhh!" sound.
Benny has a favorite part, too! He liked the part when they helped him count to 10 to get rid of his hiccups.
