References[]
- During the banana boat song, Pirate Pig says "I can't hear you!", which may be a reference to Painty the Pirate from SpongeBob SquarePants. But the crew says, "Bananas!" instead of "Aye-aye, captain!"
Older Episode References[]
- The Grumpy Old Troll also says that phrase ("I can't hear you!") in two episodes. In The Fix-it Machine, he says it to make sure the viewer counted the sixteen holes in the cheese before the mouse eats it, and in Louder!, he says it when he makes sure that three out of the four items in his riddle are really loud.
- Isa also says "I can't hear you!" during the song, "Isa, Turn the Wheel" in "Dora's Pirate Adventure".
Trivia[]
- This is the third appearance of Camilla after "First Day of School" and "The Super Babies Dream Adventure."
- This is also Camilla's first time speaking English. Instead of "Hola", she said, "Hi, Boots!".
- This episode aired on the DVD title Dora Saves the Crystal Kingdom before it aired on TV.
- This is the 118th episode of the show.
- Dora and Boots don't sing the Travel Song in this episode, they instead sing the Banana Song.
- Tico, Swiper, and the Pirate Parrot don't appear in this episode.
- Map's dancing is recycled from Dora Saves the Crystal Kingdom.
- This episode took place before the Magic Storybook Trilogy.
- The "We Did It!" song is extended to accommodate the characters saying "Bananas".
- Just like in The Big Red Chicken's Magic Show, Before the final lyrics of "We Did It!", Boots starts an extra verse reminiscing the animal end song from "Go, Diego, Go!".
- That extra verse started with Boots asking, "What's my favorite fruit?".
- This will happen again in Dora Helps the Birthday Wizzle.
- Just like in The Big Red Chicken's Magic Show, Before the final lyrics of "We Did It!", Boots starts an extra verse reminiscing the animal end song from "Go, Diego, Go!".
- This episode premiered exactly 9 years after Te Amo and 6 years after Daisy, La Quinceañera.
- Boots' voice actor Regan Mizrahi posted on his old Facebook account admitting that this is one of his favorite episodes.
- The song Yo-Ho-Ho and Ye-He-He from "Pirate Treasure Hunt" is used as Pirate Pig and the Pirate Piggies' leitmotif from this episode forward.
Running gags[]
- Not only Boots always says "Bananas", he also says "Banap…", censoring bananas.
- The reason why is to avoid bananas from falling from the sky due to his wish of bananas appearing every time he says "Bananas".
